Would you like to play a role in further developing a real estate platform focused on high-end student housing? For NIDO Living, we are looking for a Financial Controller to strengthen their finance team.

The Financial Controller is responsible for managing all (day to day) financial activities of the entities with the assigned jurisdiction, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and risk & compliance. You’ll also be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements and implements solutions to streamline financial operations. This is a critical role in helping strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial reports, analysis and forecasts.


The ideal candidate for the Financial Control role aligns with the following criteria:

  • HBO or WO education level;
  • 3 – 7 years of relevant experience;
  • Fluency in working English is mandatory, additional European language is beneficial, but not a prerequisite;
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial principles, including accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis;
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills to identify areas for process improvements, implement solutions, and streamline financial operations for efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Maintains meticulous attention to detail in managing financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with regulations;
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing financial regulations, industry trends, and business requirements, while maintaining focus on driving overall financial performance and supporting organizational growth;
  • Communicates financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including preparing comprehensive financial statements, reports, and presentations;
  • Private equity experience is a pre.
