Positie
As Manager Operations you play a key role within the organization and have the opportunity to work both strategically as a member of the management team and tactically and operationally, leading a dedicated, diverse and international team of 18 Project Officers.
You are the vital link between strategy and execution and act as a sparring partner to the COO. Together you participate in building a modern, agile and financially balanced organization. You bring structure, vision and energy to a transforming organization where you ensure that operational excellence, cost-effectiveness and quality go hand in hand.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading an ambitious and international team of project officers, consisting out of 18 people.
- Preparing the annual plan within the framework of the organizational policy.
- Optimizing work processes and cooperation with other departments.
- Monitoring performance to realize a balanced use of resources that aligns with strategic goals.
- Contribute actively to policy development, implementation and strategic advising.
- Together with the COO preparing contracts with external organizations (such as travel agencies, visa agencies, etc.) relevant to the operations department, and also monitoring contract agreements.
- Act as Health & Safety Coordinator (co-responsible for monitoring the safety protocol within PUM).
- Preparing the budget and monitoring the allocated budget.
Profiel
- Inspiring people manager, team player and multi-tasker.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, able to switch gears quickly and translate seamlessly between leadership vision and team execution.
- Experienced in coordinating operational activities and making timely decisions to ensure the workload is balanced within the team (18 people).
- Acting as sparring partner of the COO on key operational topics and the continuously improvement of process efficiency.
- Proficient in managing change and leading transition.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s working and thinking level.
- Excellent command of the English and Dutch language.
- Experienced in using various digital systems.
As a full-time role (37.5 hours) the manager operations position offers a competitive salary with a maximum of €7.100,- (+holiday allowance and a 13th-month bonus)
